Default Smart View Monitor

Every time I open Smart View Monitor the message in the attachment appears. The management is installed in Windows Server 2003 R2 and we don't know which can be the origin of the problem. Java Virtual machine is updated at the last version. I'll be very grateful with some suggestion about the issue. Thanks.

What SmartCenter version are you running?

SmartView monitor uses IE libraries as well - check windows patches related to IE are up to date, and that IE is working correctly. If you've got IE7 on there, that may be an issue with Check Point versions prior to R61.

Finally, run the GUI up on another machine - do you have to use the same server that you installed SmartCenter on to run the GUI?

Hi,
I am running R62 HFA_01 on SPLAT. I think the problem may be WITH the windows updates. Used to be fine with R62, then one day it all started. IE seems to be fine on all three machines. This happens on the machine where I have Smartcenter installed, plus running the GUI on my laptop and my desktop. Maybe I'll try installing without the hotfix and see.

I read somewhere that you were supposed to un-install R60 smartcenter before installing R62. I'm not sure what implications that has if it didn't get done. I don't remember.

Thanks,
Bill
