Hi I have to integrate Enventia with Provider-1 (R65). Provider-1 on SPLAT (R65) Eventia on Windows (R65) I have create Eventia as Global object & SIC (trust established) when I try to view Eventia reporter through Global policy dashboard, the following error displys: Error Message(s): Failed to initialiase communication with Eventia Reporter Server. Check that the server is running (172.x.x.x) Where as in R62 Provider-1 there is plug-in (SVRscript) which will add eventia plug-in. I dnt see any script in the R65 Provider-1. Please let me know if any one would have come accross and resolved the case. Thanks & regards

In the CheckPoint_R65_UpgradeGuide page 290 there is a section that requires some commands to be run. I am not sure if this is just for an upgrade or a new installation as well, but I had to run this for the upgrade from NGX R62: 1. CPSTOP both the MDS and Eventia Reporter 2. Copy the evr_addon_export from the $RTDIR/conf dir on the Eventia server to the MDS 3. Run the evr_addon_export script on the MDS. It should create a file called evr_addon_tables.tgz 4. Copy evr_addon_tables.tgz to the $RTDIR/bin directory on the Eventia server 5. On the Eventia server run svr_install --import evr_addon_tables.tgz 6. CPSTART/MDSSTART on both the MDS and Eventia servers

You don't need to do that here. This is for older versions only. It should be possible to configure all of this right in the GUI. You write: when I try to view Eventia reporter through Global policy dashboard, the following error displys: It sounds like you're getting this error when you open the Eventia GUI. Did you run cpconfig on the Eventia host yet? Don't forget to set the GUI ACLs properly (try any first), and make sure you're not firewalling the Eventia host to prevent the GUI from connecting. What happens when you install the GUI on Eventia host directly and launch it from there? Can you connect?
