Default Failing to Establish SIC with Eventia Server

I have installed Eventia Reporter on a seperate machine from Smart Center Server. I have created a checkpoint object in dashboard of the Eventia Reporter Server. When I try to initialise the communication under SIC using the Key i put during installation of Eventia Reporter on the Eventia Reporter server(Windows XP) the initialisation is failing. A test SIC also fails. Any leads??

What versions are you using?

If you are using a SmartCenter < R62 you need to modify the opsec file (I don't recall the name, but its in the release notes)

I'm assuming you are using Eventia R63/65, if not, do.

Hi

Thanks, its actually R60, I figured out the problem, it was the desktop firewall that was blocking traffic from SmartCenter server to Eventia Server due to the AD group policy.

Thank you again.
