| Hi guys, and sorry gals too:) I;'ve 1 Smartcentre Server NGX6.0 and 3 enforcement modules on solaris. On Smartcentre server product options it shows eventia reported is ticked. Does that mean i ve got license to use eventia reporter. When i launch Eventia reporter GUI from smartconsole i receive error 'failed to initialize communication with eventia reported server. check that server is running' does that imply i ve got the license bu product is not installed on smartcentre server and i need to install it? now to install i do i just need to run the installation and selct evenita reporter option as its a live stup. can someone guide. yogi |

| You can use SmartUpdate. Check Licenses section for license verification and Packages section for verification installing packages. Don't forget "Get Gateway Data" for receiving last information from modules. You need Eventia Reporter on your SmartCenter server and correct license for it (smth like CPMP-EVR). |

| Yogi, Further to kva.kva's post, you can have the reporting tool installed on another machine. It doesn't have to be on the smart center server. Depending on the load on your current SC server, you may want to consider offloading the reporter to another machine. If you do it this way, you'll also need to install the reporting tool add on component (it think that's what it's called from memory) on the SC server. Note this isn't the reporter server components. |
