Default SmartView Reporter R55 disconnected from SmartCenter. Any exact reason why?

Hi,

Currently our SmartView Reporter server is 'disconnected' from SmartCenter, although it is installed together on the same machine. I'm using version R55 and I learned that this version is buggy and it is strongly recommended to upgrade R56. But before I move on to R56, can anyone tell me the exact reason why the Reporter just 'disconnected' without any reason? Until now, I couldn't find any clue about this. The only thing that I found out is stated below:

"The reporting server denied the connection attempt of (user) on the
(localhost) machine. SVR server could not process the login request
because it is not connected to SmartCenter. Try to login again."

from SVRServer.log

but still, why it unable to process the login request as it is not connected to SmartCenter is still a mystery.

I hope somebody can enlighten me about this.

Thanks, regards,

Al

Have you found a solution for this? I am using R61 and Eventia Reporter was working for a few weeks before this error decided to happen.

This should not happen with EVR R61.

Check the conectivity at the network level and check your disk space. If that all looks good try to restart it. If that fails open a call with TAC. EVR is a boatload more stable than SVR ever was.
