Default SmartView Reporter with old logs

Hi,

Just wonder... (sorry if this a silly question), anyone here ever successfully importing old logs for processing using SmartView Reporter? I have a huge numbers of old logs from our previous firewall set up and my management would like to generate reports from it. I put some old logs into the log directory (in a separate hard disk) and use the Policy > Start & Install... to import/consolidate the old logs into database. But unfortunately, it fails due to error message called "invalid log marker...?"

How to fix this? I heard Eventia Reporter is much better handling those old logs than SmartView Reporter.

Thanks very much.

Regards,

Al
