Default Integrity 6.5 Truevector errors

I have been receiving reports from our desktop support staff that a large amount say 1000 systems or about 10% are getting licenses expire warnings and TrueVector crash errors over the last month. In many cases a reinstall of the product works fine, but on some it does not work at all. This then forces our desktop support to reimage the system.

This error was a problem prior to HFA05 and seemed to be completely stopped until recently. Now it appears that all of our issues from Total lockup to TrueVector engine errors are coming back to the for front. I am not sure what can be done as all of these issues were fixed in previous patches (which are applied)

We are still utilizing HFA06 (6.5.063.199) and have had more tickets than ever. This seems to be the most problematic piece of software I have ever encounter3ed. Does anyone have any similar issues, or possible suggestions?

Tech support never actually discovers the root cause of each issue but usually just tells me to reinstall, upgrade, or switch the scanning mode. In the past we have conducted all of the recommendations to find out that we fixed 3 problems and created 5 more.

Try to get off build 199 and move to 222 or better yet 227 which is a one-off you can get from support. There was a license issue corrected in build 217 and some RDB corruption issues resolved prior to build 227.

Still havent addressed your issue. Do the following.

1. Check the apache_access log on the server and see if you have any of the 199 clients hammering your server with loguploads. If the logs are growing very quickly then that is clue.

2. Regarding the vsmon crash, check the event logs to see if they register any RDB corruption events 5007. Also see if there is a vsmon dump file in the Internet logs directory. You may try to debug this and see if it is helpful.
