Default Integrity + SecureClient Combined Package

Integrity Server 6.60.864.000
Client: 6.5.063.222
OS: Red Hat ES 3 Update Release 8

Has anyone successfully created and deployed a combined Integrity agent and SecureClient package? I tried it with Integrity Agent 6.5.063.222 and SecureClient R60 HFA02. When trying to install the package on the client systems, it just hangs when trying to installing the Integrity agent. You have to kill the vsmon.exe process, then the SecureClient installation starts. I have tried it on different laptops, freshly imaged laptops and different models of laptops, same issue.

P.S. - We are not totally sold on the Integrity+SecureClient agent yet. We were part of the EA program and found the administrative overhead to be too great and the interoperability functions with SmartCenter less than mediocre from what is advertised. That is why we are not using that the new combined agent.

For the functionality you are looking for 7.0 is the place to be. The current client has the two combined well. The new clients Arlanda and Calypso soon to be released, open other possiblities such as disk and media encryption, protector, WebRH, etc. All installed from a single installer.

Does the new client support Vista? And is it actually a unified client, and not just a mash-up of a bunch of installers????

I guess we all find this out next week, but if you've got inside information, I might think about getting motivated about CPES again. I seen sooo many false starts though....

ES 7.0 HFA1 Server will support the Integrity 7.1 client (Which is 6.5 for Vista. I know I know...)

The unified client phase 1 is a unified end-user experience, the applications are still separate. Phase 2 is consolidated server.

The Vista 7.0 client is coming soon as well.

Take another look at CPES 7, check with your SE if you are looking at FDE, Removable Media Encryption and/or port management.

So, reading between the lines, the webcast this week isn't releasing the Vista client or the proper unified client? And the Pointsec technologies are still a bolt-on????

Sigh.... Just like everything with CPES, I'm sure the next version will solve the issues... Sadly, I heard that with version 6... and with 6.5.... and with 7.0....

I've been using the Unified client for a while now and it works well. Is it a "Bolt on" in some respects yes, but nothing like the fist batch of "Integrity SecureClient" was.

I am withholding personal judgement until I see what the unified management looks like, from the client side I don't really care if there is one installer or 10 as long as it can all be packaged up and deployed together and the end-user only sees one interface.

Now total image size is something on the client side I worry about, but there is a lot going on, so it's not going to be small. Its still smaller than some of the other "unified" clients out there.

So I'm utterly confused...havn't never really used Integrity.

Which unified package should I download (vista)?

When I do a search by product for Endpoint Security R70, I see two R70 version but both are 700MB package file and are labeled Server side packages...
