I beleive this to be true. As I stated
here, if you look at the latest
price list:
CPVP-VSC (SecureClient) and CPVP-VSI (SecureClient w/ Integrity) appear to have been replaced by CPEP-xx series (CPEP is CheckPoint Endpoint).
And I can even go one better than that... 3 days ago, I got a quote from my vendor for CPVP-VSC-1000 and the next day was told that CP provided them a new 'replacement' quote for CPEP-SA-1 (Quantity: 1000). The new quote was for $10k higher and they (CP) claimed the old SKU is no longer valid (like they can't still generate a license for this).
I'm trying not to screw my vendor over, but they told me they have a quote for the old SKU from CP, so we are going to hold their feet to the fire for the old SKU. The vendor is honoring our quote for the old SKU, but CP may make them eat the difference. Can CP do that if they generated a valid quote to my vendor? Since it's a valid quote for 30 days, can CP rescind it from the vendor?
