Hi I have installed Check Point Integrity Agent as one component of a package. After the installation, all traffic will go through the secure agent. I would like to shut down the CP agent, but there is a password protected. During the installation, there was no way to input password. So I guess that it maybe set by default. Is there anyone here who knows how to break this? Thanks. Dayong

Where did you get this package? Off the Integrity server I hope... Normally, there's no password to turn it off. However, when you create the installation package, there's a policy option to prevent the user from being able to turn the service off. There is a password for uninstalling it, and the default is "password." Please check your situation, post a version, and see if that's what you're encountering. Who's the Integrity admin? That's you I hope?

IAS 6.5 for example has two password that can be deployed on the endpoint. 1. Installation password 2. User password The first is used to provide for silent installation, upgrades and reconfigurations making managment of the endpoint transparent to the end user. The second is to prevent the user from being able to view the security policy and make configuration changes....and to shutdown the client. This 2nd password is the prompt you are receiveing. It is generally set in the client package, Installation parameters in Additional parameters using the keyword NEWUSERPASSWORD=password. It is not set by default. It may also be set from the command line. If not recorded it is generally forgotten.
