| Hi, I seem to have a growing pool of clients that are generating a lot of the following errors. Event ID 5002 TrueVector driver: Data thread killed. Event ID 5007 TrueVector Service: TrueVector engine: File "C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs\JYX2N2J.ldb" was corrupt and has been copied to "C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs\xDB8.tmp". File "C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs\JYX2N2J.ldb" was corrupt and has been deleted. At this point the agent seems to hang and then eventually crash and leave the client unprotected. Any ideas? Agent Version 6.5.063.166 |

| build 166 is HFA05. Generally this error occurs when the endpoint is powered off suddenly or powers down before the IAMDB.RDB file closes gracefully. A registry setting can extend the time XP waits before shutdown that often eliminates this issue. During startup this database is checked to see if it closed gracefully. If not it will recreate itself. hth note: To increase the time that Windows is allowing services to properly shut down: 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe) and locate the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l 2. On the Edit menu, click Add Value. 3. Enter the following: Value Name: WaitToKillServiceTimeout Data Type: REG_SZ String: In milli-seconds; default is 20,000 4. Click OK and then quit Registry Editor. 5. Shut down, and then restart Windows. Last edited by CSING; 2007-06-26 at 10:51. |
