Default Veritas 6.0 to backup SPLAT

Hello:
I work for a large telcom and am responsible for rolling out a new backup and DR solution for our NGX R-65 mfw system. Its a D2D2T with a Sun T2000, 6140 array, and tape robot. My question is: Does anyone know if Veritas 6.0 Enterprise Backup is compatible with SPLAT NGX R-65? -- I think it is, but can't get a straight answer from CP tech support.... I am using the standard Veritas daemons (vnetd and bpcd).

The SPLAT is on several i686 Linux boxes - IBM servers - and I am basically interested in the CMA/CLM components - logs and policies.

Thanks in advance

Default Re: Veritas 6.0 to backup SPLAT

There is no tape support in SPLAT as standard, and I do not believe that Veritas is compatible with SPLAT.

There is however a backup utility supplied as standard as part of the SPLAT system.

Just use the built in backup utility to backup the box and transfer the backup file off to another box that is then backed up.
