Default Backup N55 Windows Version

Hi,

I've got a Checkpoint FW1 wich is installed on Windows 2000.

I want to backup my configuration but I don't know how I can do that.

A friend told me that there is a backup utility stored on the FW1 directory but I don't found it, and I don't want to make a mistake.

Thank you.

Cris

Check Point Software: SmartCenter Tools) (the top link) and download the Windows version of the upgrade checker archive. In the archive is a file named upgrade_export.exe

Run it from a command prompt on your Windows SmartCenter after all of the GUIs are closed. It will create a .tgz file that contains everything you need to rebuild your SmartCenter.

Make sure you copy the file off to a safe, secure place and run it whenever you make changes. I do it weekly at a minimum.

HTH,

RAy

Can I export the configuration to a text or word document?

It needs to be a .tgz so it can be imported again, to see the policy as text view your best bet is to use the web visualization tool which can be downloaded from checkpoint we site.

the output of web visualization tool would be html, then you can edit with Word or something.
