| I have migrated my smartcenter server from Windows 2000 R55 to SPLAT R60 recently using the export/import tool and it all worked fine. I have also now put HFA 04 on. I have since created a new test box with a vanilla SPLAT R60 HFA 04 on and now wish to restore the backup from my live smartcenter. The backup of it worked fine using SCP to another linux box. I have transferred this to my test box and done a restore locally only to find that no licences or rules get restored. What I get is this: The following information will be restored: system ------------------------------------------------------------------ The following information will NOT be restored: cp_products ------------------------------------------------------------------ Choose one of the following: ------------------------------------------------------------------ [C] Continue. [M] Modify which information to restore. [Q] Quit. ------------------------------------------------------------------ According to the docs this is because When restore detects that the currently installed version of Check Point products does not match the version that was stored in the backup file. Is it somehow still seeing the R55 it was exported from ? The only difference I have with the installs is the test machine does not have the eventia reporter add on installed. Sorry - I have found the solution. It was because I had not installed the eventia reporter add on. It seems both machines have to have the exact same products installed to be able to fully restore.
