Does anyone noticed problems with backup scheduling on SPLAT R60_HFA_03 SmartCenter Server? Backups via scp should be done using "backup_util sched" as saved in cron file. But it doesn't work. Typing "backup sched" works perfectly from command line - file is done and transferred to remote backup machine. Any ideas?

Messages on SCS say: "admin: BACKUP operation failed. Details: Failed to transfer the package to the remote servers", and on sshd server authentication failure occured.

It's strange. I tried sometimes backup --scp --sched without problems. Did you send the error from /var/log/messages file? May be this file has more detalied error's description. In any case, imho, you can try to debug session from server side or edit crontab and try to backup by "x x x * * backup -d --scp xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx user pass"

maybe little bit offopic but I would check if this exists: have a look in /var/CPsnapshot/tmp/ sometimes there's a tmp file inside called something like "backup_utility.tmp" if this file exists the scheduled backupjobs or snapshots do not run, deleteting the file fixes the problem...by the way I'll do this every week :( __________________ misery is optional
