Default How to backup CP with Veritas

Hi All,
I'm new to Checkpoint and am wanting to know how to do a backup of critical files from SPLAT using Veritas BackupExec.
Can anyone explain how I attach the veritas to the checkpoint server and which critical files I should be backing up?

Many thanks in advance.

Steve

Hi stvbrx,

1) In SPLAT expert mode,
[Expert@NGXR61]# cd /opt/CPsuite-R61/fw1/bin/upgrade_tools/
[Expert@NGXR61]# ./upgrade_export

Usage: upgrade_export [-d] [-h] [-v] <exported file name>

Where:
<exported file name> - the path to export the DB
-d - prints debug information
-h - prints this usage
-v - prints the version

2) https://ip

I do not think that Veritas has an option to back up SPLAT. One possible solutoin would be to automate a backup via the web GUI to a TFTP server on your network, then back up the image from there as normal.
