Hi All, Currently i'm testng a few things... so far, the CBIs for NGX R65 when i test on COS, i dont see a standalone installation option, the cbi script will prompt for SIC (Distributed install). I'm checking with Crossbeam Support on this, but was thinking if i can manually install Checkpoint R65, since COS is linux as well... Can we actually do manual installs??

I am pretty sure that the management server cannot be installed on the Crossbeam.

back then for ngai r55 to ngx r62.. Crossbeam used rpm for the checkpoint packages... these contained thew gateway and mgmt... They changed to new CBIs for R65... this didnt have the mgmt server... One more thing, can i manually install the checkpoint using the splat/linux cd on COS???

You won't like my answer: In theory, it should be possible and was even mentioned to me by Crossbeam support. However, I never did it myself as the boxes I get either come with R62 or we use the CBI to install R65 for newer deployments. My question - if the Crossbeam specific things (like SMP support) get installed as well - remained, unfortunatly, unanswered so far. So if anybody has done this in lab, a feedback is highly appreciated. For HFAs, I do use the download for Linux (not SecurePlatform!) - And this works perfect.
