Hi Gurus, I'm new to Crossbeam C 10 Series and i am looking for documentation on how to backup the whole crossbeam configuration to another new unit. Currently, there is checkpoint application running on top of the Crossbeam. Kindly, please advise

This may help you. Netleets.com • View topic - Question about backups It appears that you have to backup each VAP group seperately. 1. Launch the application configuration program, using the following command: CBS# application VSX vap-group <vap-group-name> config 2. In the Configuration Options menu, select the option to backup the VSX configuration. You are prompted about backing up the log files. If your system has a large number of Virtual Systems, backing up the logs can add several hours to the backup.

Below is how to do it.. It will only restore the crossbeam config, you will need to do the application install for checkpoint, and set sic and push from your management station for Checkpoint config. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To backup a Crossbeam running COS run the following cos_show_system -f <filename> This will produce an ascii file of configuration information in a particular format. It lists the users, interfaces, routing , vrrp addresses and basic information such as hostname. Indeed it will store all the information that you can enter using the cos_config command. However it does not store passwords these will have to be added separately. To restore the configuration use the command cos_set_system -f <filename>
