We replaced two Nokia appliances with two new C6s on 1/10/07 and the primary box has been crashing two weeks after the migration. We got Crossbeam to replace the box but it just keep on crashing randomly. There is no error on the interfaces as far as I can tell. The version we are running is COS 4.1.0-25 cslinux_v3. Just wonder if somebody else has experiencd something similar. Thanks.

So it's going down hard, or just failing over? Anything in the messages file? Assuming everything is setup correctly, whenever we've had Crossbeam issues, it's been OS or switch related. You could also upgrade the OS to 5.1 (or whatever they're on now). Upgrade to 4.1.0-25 from 4.0 took me about an hour to do the safe upgrade with failover and user acceptance testing. I believe Crossbeams like STP and port fast turned off on the switch.

@Kawai: Can you email me with your technical support case #? I'll have someone follow-up immediately. Something's obviously not right. @Sail4fun: Same question. I'll be more than glad to make sure that you both get any help you need. /Chris Christofer Hoff Chief Security Strategist Crossbeam Systems, Inc.
