No - however this has been something that has been raised with Crossbeam - especially with XoS, to assist people in training - so you never know.

I don't think that solution is available (unless they are holding back from me).

If a Nokia IP firewall running on IPSO has not been virtuallized, dont expect to see a Crossbeam try to virturalize its architecture. I am 100% sure the X series will never exist out side of its massive shell. The C series, on the other hand, can be virtualized with some dedication. But Crossbeam has less than 10% of the customer base of Nokia. And IPSO is not just for firewalls.

Well C Series OS is Red Hat based so might want to try experementing with Red Hat configuration in VMWare to see if will work from the install image.

Personally I cannot stand COS but some people like it so good luck with experementing.

My understanding on this is no. Even their own support guys when troubleshooting and replicating problems do it on their actual machines..

Its too complicated to virtualize redundant backplanes, APM's, CPM's, etc. Not to mention their core OS is a multi layer Linux/hybrid blend with an IOS feel.

I stand corrected.
Both are available to partners. I have downloaded both however I was unable to get COS to launch. I am reloading now.
