| Right then chaps, We have the Checkpoint UTM R62device sitting in front of our DMZ. We want to be able to access the internet to do the windows updates on the web servers within the DMZ. Is it possible to use the UTM R62 as a proxy server? and if so, how do you configure it Thanks in advance. |

| Yes you can use it as a Proxy Server, but I wouldn't. It involves configuring the http security server. As I said you can but I really wouldn't as I see too many problems when people have insisted on doing this. Personally I would deploy either a proxy server inside the DMZ that can be used or a WSUS server for centralized updates. |
