| Cannot install a rule with resources on one of its sources in Rule n If you try and install a rule that looks like this: Source Destination Service Action firewalls any smtp->resources accept FireWall-1 will complain with the following error message: Cannot install a rule with resources on one of its sources in Rule n The security servers will not actually invoke on connections originating from the firewall even with "eitherbound" policy inspection (which it appears that this firewall has). If you were to try and change "firewalls" above to "any" and set policy enforcement to eitherbound inspection, all SMTP connections originating from the firewall would in fact fail. The Security Servers were designed to handle connections going through the firewall, not originating from the firewall. -- PhoneBoy - 01 Jan 2004 FAQForm FAQs.Class: ContentSecurityFAQs OperatingSystem?: FAQs.Version: |
