Default Wildcards in URI specification file

Does anyone know if wildcards can be used in a URI specification file? For example, can I have a line in my URI specification file like

*hotmail.com*

? I know I can have an individual URI resource object with wildcards in the hostname, but I'd rather just have 1 rule based on a file than multiple rules with a bunch of individual objects if possible.

Thanks for the help.
