Default Using Chkpt as Proxy

I want to use my Chkpt firewall (R55) as Web Proxy. I want to know what port and IP to define in my browser (Internet Explorer).

Thanks

Hi

This is just for test. I am using URI resource and made a rule for this resource. I nated(Hide) the internal IP. I am using wildcard in URI with all default (*). When I am trying to access internet the page is getting expired and no log is getting generated.

Any help

Hi

I got it done. It is using port 80, so proxy settings includes accessible ip of the firewall and the port as 80, so the browser sends the request to the same. My config was ok, the problem was due to some other rule.

But the access is very slow, can it be improved ??

I would advise against using Check Point as a proxy, unless you have an outstandingly good reason. Squid is free.
