Default UFP question

Hi

I am trying to learn the UFP server role. Unfortunately our company do not use any UFP servers. Therefore I am unable to test this scenario.

The textbook says

U have to define a rule "not allowed" for forbidden catogaries. after defining the UFP server and URI resouce.

Does this mean that once the UFP server is defined, this UFP server populates the FW (or smart centre) with the catogeries defined in the UFP server ?. and in which location of the smart console these catogeries appear ?

If anybody who use any UFP server can send me a partial screenshot of smart console with catogeries visible (I dont need to see the rule base of course! ) I would would be realy greatful.

Thanks

Default Re: UFP question

Hi

Even I have not used UFP but in my org we are using SCM (Symantec product for web access control). I feel that the categories are defined and controled from this external server only, it has nothing to do with the chkpt firewall, this server will only be sending the output to the firewall as a category > permitted/not permitted. and the firewall will take action.
