SMTP Resource stripping all MIME attachments.

I'm running NG R55. I have created an SMTP resource object but its stripping all mime attachments. In the action 2 tab, Strip MIME of Type is completely blank, as well as file by name field. Also, I have 8-bit allowed characters.

How can I get this to stop stripping all MIME attachments?

I've searched all over the place for this and I find old old message doc achives but no real clear cut answer.
