Using the HTTP Proxy without Authentication In
FireWall?-1 3.x and later, the HTTP Security Server does more than just authenticate and can actually be used without requiring authentication. For an example of how to do this, see How to log Web and FTP files downloaded
In
FireWall?-1 2.x, the proxies assume you are authenticating (the official name for it was HTTP Authenticating Proxy) and will not work. You can pass HTTP traffic without authentication, however, but you can not set the firewall as the "Proxy" in this case.
