How can I connect connectra (NGX R62) and smartdashboard (NGX R62). Ok I've added Connectra ... established trust .... connectra send logs to tracker ... but how can I manage Connectra policy from dashboard? thanks

In short from NGX R62 SMARTCenter all you can do is web manage. You define the device, establish the SIC for logging etc, what you do then is right click on the Connectra Object and select Manage Device. This will then fireup a Web Browser connection to the Connectra Device using the IP address you defined the object with. To do the Connectra in Dashboard you must use NGX R65 as the SMARTCenter and upgrade the Connectra to R62CM (for Central Management) This then allows you to manage the connectra through the Connectra Tab in the SMARTDashboard. Check Point provide a utility to import the existing config into the R65 but I haven't used it myself so I have no idea if works correctly or not

Yep, you got it. At the moment, apart from Connectra R62CM and SMARTCenter NGX R65 then all other Check Point managed from SMARTCenter are Web Browser based still, ie Edge Devices, Interspect, Integrity Integrity R66 is 6.5 that runs on SPLAT, it still fires up a web browser however.

Interspec is not a browser-based management, it has its own Smart client, but it is not a dashboard tab, yet. I suspect it will be a while still before we see smart clients for the desk-top stuff. As for Edge, you have been able to manage policy on them for a longtime w/ SmartDashboard. You can not directly manage the network config, but you can't do that with VPN-1 gateways either.
