We've been running Connectra R60 for almost a year with no problems. Since upgrading to R61 and right to R62 some of our employees have been experiencing SNX disconnects. The log just shows it lost the connection. It's usually two minutes to the second after SNX connects, but sometimes it's two and a half minutes or so. Other users are unaffected. A reinstall of SNX does not help. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Ray

Update: There are two people having issues with NGX R62 out of about a half-dozen regular users. The debug logs for this person show that SNX cannot bind the Office Mode address to the virtual network adapter. We're still working on this problem. The other person was getting an error message of "failed to update routing table." The debug logs did not reveal much. We installed an eval of Connectra NGX R60 HFA01, the version we were running pre-R62, and had both users uninstall SNX and then connect to the eval box to get SNX R60 HFA01. They then connected back to R62 using the R60 version of SNX. This person (routing table problem) is now working for whatever reason. The first person got three hits for garbageware which we're still trying to clean up before we can actually get connected to see if the downgrade made any difference. Ray

The first person (2-minute disconencts) is now working using the NGX R60 HFA01 version of SNX. After she got the garbageware cleaned up, SNX hung on the "Initializing" display. I had her run "netsh ip int reset c:\tcpipresetlog.txt" from a command prompt, which resets the TCP/IP stack in XP to the factory defaults. She then re-ran the R60 SNX install and now all is working fine. She has declined to try the R62 version of SNX for some reason. :-) The "routing table" problem was definitely "fixed" by reverting to the earlier SNX version. I *think* this one would have been as well if she had not gotten the garbageware installed. She had been working on R60 for a year and stopped working the instant she did the R60 -> R62 SNX upgrade. Oh well, life is good again, for both of us. :-) Ray

I should mention that these two people are using the Chinese version of XP SP2. One other person in the same office, also using a Chinese version of XP SP2, had no problems with the R62 upgrade. We haven't had any problems at all with the US version of Windows. Ray
