Default Connectra Configuration Replication

Hello
I have two connectra (prod and DR)
and I need a method to keep the second one up to date with any changes to users and applications

I have tried, doing a snapshot of the prod box and reverting on the DR box and changing the name but I run into some nasty SIC issues.

eventually I will move them into a cluster configuration, but at the moment they existing in separate DMZ's

anyone had any luck doing this ?

I had a look at object dumper but the connectra gui gives the objects bizarro names that I cant relate back to what I see in the webui

I think that dbexport will export the users and the group names, so its really the applications and user groups I need to get

my colleague raised a case with CP

RE: Replicating Connectra Servers - DR

It is not officially supported in R61. It will be supported in R62.

I assume I provide you the information you wanted to know regarding this issue and I would like to close the SR if you dont have any further questions.

I'm sorry that there is nothing to be done now with this issue of replicating Connectra configuration.

does anyone know how to do this in R62 ?

all comments greatly appreciated

Sean

Just found Connectra R62 (10/10/2006) on the download site

apparently it has a "advanced upgrade export/import" feature
Ill have a read of the docs and see if this fits my needs

cheers

R62 has upgrade_export & upgrade_import tools now. I just had to use them to send the config to CP because of a few issues since I went to R62.
