Dear all, I have a client running checkpoint R55 software on Nokia IPSO in clusters and want to migrate to Checkpoint R62 on RedHat platform. is it possible to migrate rule bases, user groups etc to the new Checkpoint R62 on RedHat platform with minimal distruption. anyother information/links on how to go about it would be appreciated. thank you

Yes, the R62 upgrade guide details all of this. The short form answer is use upgrade_export and upgrade_import to migrate the data. Why Redhat and not SPLAT?

Thanks chillyjim for your quick response. I read thru. the NGX62 upgrade documentation but it only spoke about migrating from for example Nokia IPSO running R55 to another Nokia IPSO that'll run the R62 version, my question is this process applicable to migrating from Nokia IPSO R55 to Red hat box running R62 (just wanted to be sure). Also, Please how do I know where the smartcenter server is installed?? is there a way to know on a Nokia IPSO?? BTW Redhat was chosen by the client. thanks Last edited by dav_y2k; 2008-02-10 at 09:12.
