Default VRRP best practice

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was any best practice as regards the configuration of VRRP. I have seen some documentation on the Nokia site which recommends that only one VRID be used for all the interfaces. However other configs that I have seen use individual vrid's per interface pair.

Are there any agreed best practices or documentation on the topic? I've had a look around and can't see a lot of info on this.

Default Re: VRRP best practice

The current implementation of vrrp is known as simplified vrrp. This uses only 1 vrid and this is the model you should use.
