Default Cluster XL technology

How does ClusterXL works? Per packet or per session? I saw general documents ond this subject but I do not understand in load balancing topology if cluster members load balance traffic per session or per packet.

Thanks!

It does a hash based on the packet and will decide what firewall will process the packet based on what type of hash you use (Check Point offers three options).
