Default Maximum number nodes using ClusterXL

Hello

IŽd like to know how many nodes can be configurated in a cluster using ClusterXL?

Thanks

Hello:

If this is a Load Sharing Cluster, there are problems with efficiency above 4 members, then Max members are 4, If this is an HA Cluster, the MAX number of Cluster Members that we have seen is 7.

Bye

IIRC CXL is certified to 6 nodes, but after 3 or 4 you will start to lose performance.

Hopefully CoreXL and 10Gbps interfaces will improve this. The problem with scalability is sync traffic processing.

I was told by Checkpoint TAC that NGx R65 can scale up to 32
node. In a production environment, I have never seen more than
2 node.

It seems to be a moving number. The code may well allow it to go to 32, but I know QA didn't test it anywhere close to that.

I do have a few 3 node clusters in production and a 4 node about to go on-line (because of logging issues of all things).

2- and 3-node clusters ate the most common.
