Default Is VRRP Cluster IP redundancy

Is the Nokia VRRP cluster a pure IP redundancy? Is it not effective for service failure? What solution gives resillency for service failure?
Thanks

Pure Nokia VRRP Cluster is merely IP redundancy. You require the Check Point State Synchronisation to provide the session synchronisation to maintain the service connectivity during failover. The Nokia does however monitor the state of the Check Point daemon and will also failover on that as I understand it.

By Service failure I presume you mean that all of the hardware is working but that the Check Point services fail.

I tested this in a lab environment. There is no switch over when I execute cpstop on master device.
