Default ClusterXL is for FW-1 and VPN-1?

Excuse me if this question had already answered please... My serach on the complete CPUG yeild no result for my queries.

Would you please clarify my following doubts on ClusterXL?

1. From the ClusterXL.pdf Page #14 says :-

"ClusterXL is a software-based Load Sharing and High Availability solution that distributes network traffic between clusters of redundant VPN-1 Pro Gateways, and provides transparent failover between machines in a cluster"

Is this mean the ClusterXL is only for VPN-1 clustering and NOT for FW-1 clustering???

2. Page #16 says:- "ClusterXL is part of the standard VPN-1 Pro installation" this makes my doubt strong that only VPN-1 traffic is clustered not FW-1 traffic.

Please clarify as I am still reading this pdf to the last page and searches the answers...

With Best Regards,

Praveen

Default Re: ClusterXL is for FW-1 and VPN-1?

Both VPN and Firewall traffic will be redundant if you have correct licenses.
