Default Trouble applying HFA_04 to Nokia IP Clustered IP390's running R60

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a setup in a lab that has two IP390's using Nokia IP clustering and want to apply HFA_04 to it. I am running the same config on both devices and it is 4.1 with R60 vanilla install. The install is not flash based (I have a pair of the Nokia IP390's that had the flash problem Nokia is having with a certain serial number range, so I was sent new flash cards). I don't see how I can use smart update seeing as I cannot add anything to the package repository, so I think I am left with upgrading the manual old fashioned way (unpacking the HFA at the command prompt).

I guess my question is what is the suggested way to apply HFA's in a Nokia clustered environment?
Should I detach the devices from the cluster, manually upgrade the HFA then try to rejoin the upgraded devices to the cluster?
Does anyone know of the proper way to accomplish this?
Even the HFA_04 release notes only talk of the ClusterXL being used and not the Nokia IP cluster.

Any help would be appreciated.
