| Ok, I want to build a HA cluster with Checkpoint R62. Do I need ClusterXL? From what I understood, you need ClusterXL to provide Active/Active failover. Active/Passive is supported out of the box with the proper HA license. Am I right? What are the differences between using regular HA and the ClusterXL module? Thanks! |

| Hi, If you want active/passive setup you need a full licence for one gateway and another license for the second gateway at a reduced price. If you want active/active setup you need, on top of the two licenses mentioned above, also a cluster XL load sharing license. See also: http://pricelist.checkpoint.com/US/P...enerallist.asp for an indication of the prices. + the Cluster XL user guide Cluster XL is the product/software that allows you to do: - HA (regular HA if you want to call it like that) or - Load Sharing (with an additional license) Kr.
