Hi, I have an Internal Cluster consists of two Nokia IP 530 Appliances running NG FP3 build 31. The cluster is managed by a NG FP3 management station running on Windows. The Appliances are clustered using Nokia’s Virtual Routing Redundancy Protocol (VRRP). All interfaces on cluster member B, which is the standby member, should be in VRRP state ‘backup’. However this is not the case as interface eth-p3s1c0 (master card interface) is in state ‘master’.

What troubleshooting have you done so far? Have you confirmed that policy allows outbound connections from the cluster object and the real addresses to 224.0.0.18/VRRP? Have you looked at traffic on the wire, to see if the multicasts from the primary node are reaching the secondary?

Hi, Have you checked for the priority configurations for the interfaces. Please re-check it once more. if the issue persist, pls disable tht interface and configure it again thru voyager. Sathyan.D
