Re: Is the VRRP stateful or not? I don't understand your question. What are you actually asking? VRRP is a protocol used for providing router redundancy, in a similar manner to HSRP. Check Point ClusterXL (which is what I guess you are referring to by clustering, although you could mean IPSO Clustering I guess) is Check Point's name for their clustering protocol, which can allow either High Availability, or Load Sharing. It is possible (well, more like mandatory) to configure synchronisation between the systems, so that if one fails, the other will seamlessly pick up those connections. It will be aware of all currently existing connections, and will accept them. Is that what you are referring to? |
