Default Building a new firewall - licensing issue

I am building a new firewall on two utm-1's in a load sharing cluster. Our present system (R55) is still running and this one will replace that one.

Because I am at the same time doing an audit of our firewall I am rebuilding the object database as well as the rulebase. I was trying to use the 15-day free license window to do that, and saved what I thought was the configuration files and the db_version directory before I had to reset the system again.

I could not load what I have saved so I have to start all over again. :(

Can I get a license and change the IP-specifications for the license when this new system is ready for production? Otherwise how should I get the system production-ready without a license?

Regards
Johann

Don't use your real licenses for this but either use the Quick Eval option in User Center or if you don't have this with your own account, get your Check Point reseller to generate you eval license for your SMARTCenter and UTM-1 devices whilst building.

No reason why they shouldn't provide at least 1 set of licenses for 30 days.
If you use with the initial 15 day that goes on gives you at least 45 days.

Alternatively do the firewall audit and once that is completed create the new management server, with the results of the audit so that not restricted to the 15 days.

You can ask CP for a few evals to cover you while you rebuild. Please note however that you should start your replacement server out with the correct IP and just plug it into a standalone switch until you're ready to cut over. By doing it this way, you can also attach your real licenses so you're ready to go for your cutover.
