Delay in cluster

I am using two NG R55 HFA 16 in a cluster.
When i ping the passive fw the reply comes back after a huge delay.
There is no apperant reason for this, maybe some one has encountered this?

Where are you pinging from and to? If you are on the internal network and are pinging the external IP address, it may be going out through the other member and then back rather than going straight to the one that you are pinging.

Do some tcpdumps or fw monitors to see where the traffic is going.

I had the same problem. Removing DNS solved it for me. None of my firewalls run DNS.
