Default DHCP through PPPoE - VPN problem

Hello,

I have a PPPoE WAN interface on X16 box. Inside I have a cisco L3 switch. The network between X16 and inside router is 192.168.10.0/29 and the network behind cisco router is 10.10.120.0/24
The cisco router have ip-helper-address to forward DHCP request from 10.10.120.0/24 to HQ DHCP server.

All communications between 10.10.120.0/24 and HQ network works perfectly over VPN.

But, the DHCP relay service, doesn’t work over VPN.

This doesn’t happen when WAN interface have Ethernet connection with static IP.

Any suggestions?

Tnx.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe DHCP is a broadcast and will not be sent across the VPN tunnel. I'm not sure that even setting an explicit rule will help this problem.
