Default Central Management of Edge X from R61 SmartCenter

Hi,
I have configured my SmartCenter server to manage my Edge X device and the connection from Edge to SmartCenter has been established. When I go to Services menu in my Edge, I can see the subscription, etc.

However, after this has been done, I realised that the Security setting in the Edge that was previously set to MEDIUM has now changed to HIGH. I tried to change it back to MEDIUM but failed. I could not find any settings that I can change in the SmartCenter to rectify this.

Also, when I create a rule in SmartCenter for my Edge X (rule created in SmartDashboard and installed in Target:Edge) and installed the rule, I don't see the rule in my Edge>Security>Rules. Do I still need to create the rules manually in my Edge? I tried doing a port forwarding/NAT for my Edge X in the SmartCenter but it does not work.

Maybe I got the wrong idea on how it is supposed to work.

Hallo,

when you manage your Edge in the SmartCenter, the Security setting is automatical high and you can't change this. Also, when you manage the Edge in the SmartCenter, you must configure the rules there. And it is also right, that you can't see the rules which you have defined in the SmartCenter. But you can define further rules in the Edge. But this is not ideal, if you cnfigure your Edge in the SmartCenter.

Regards,
Stephan
