Default Power-1 5070 recommendations

Hi All,

I am considering deploying a Check Point Power-1 5070 to protect my web servers at a collocation facility. I have 6 IIS web servers serving 500k hits daily, and 50Mb/s of Internet bandwidth to the servers.

I want to deploy the 5070 with Smart Defense, Web Intelligence and Flood Gate.

I would like some feedback from users who are already using the 5070 is similar environments.

Thanks in advance.

I do NOT have experience with any Checkpoint Power-1 appliances but these
appliances are IBM x-servers. In my environment, I use IBM x3650 dual
quad-core processors with 4GB of RAM and in my test, I was able to push
almost 800k connections and 200Mbps with Spirent test equipments.

For the most part, I think the IBM x3650 will easily meet your requirements.

my 2c.

The Power-1 and UTM-1 appliances are [b]not[\b] based on the IBM hardware but are custom built for Check Point. The M2/6/8 are the IBM appliances.

The performance between the Power-1 9070 and the M8 are more-or-less the same. The 5070 is between the M6 & M8
