Default Help with re-ordering interfaces NGX R60

Hi all,

First time posting here. I've inherited an NGX R60 XL cluster which I am slowly fixing and coming up to speed with. Have made a lot of headway with respect to SC servers, policy rulebase fixes, etc. but need help on one of the cluster members.

cluster member 1 (appears to have been rebuilt) has eth0 - eth4
cluster member 2 has eth2, eth5, eth6, eth7 and eth3

right now the active/standby cluster only has 1 member in it (#2). I'd like to clean this up so that the interfaces match member 1 before putting that one online in the cluster.

How do I reorder the interfaces and what are the smart steps to do this? Any gotchas?

Related problem: I added member 1 into the cluster as a standby but somehow it was arping for the external NIC address and it was causing problems so I took it offline again. Originally I was going to add that one, make it primary and take the current one offline and rebuild it but that didn't work. Everytime I add the new one online it begins to cause problems. I'm not sure if I should make the new one match the old or vice versa but I like the logical ordering of the interfaces on the new one.

any help appreciated on the best way to reorder NICs on the current unit.
