Default NGX R62 with HF_01 SPLAT kernel 2.4 high irq usage

Ive got an issue with high softIRQ usage on ibm x335 type 8676-11g. checkpoint has "conveniently" removed ibm x335 from their supported hardware list..

this is an output of top (on the bottom). as you can see the softirq is just way too high... ive tried assigning different nics to different cpu's but without any good result. fiddled around with smartdefence, but nothing seems to help... i have tried changing even the nics to an supported nic from HCL list, but nothing. has anyone ever encountered something like this?

Default Re: NGX R62 SPLAT kernel 2.4 high irq usage

had the same thing in regards to soft irqs always at 100% when i/fs were up.
In my case it was the combination of hardware (all were supported, nic, server, splat version)just not the combination. Installing splat 2.6 resolved my problem and gave me back connectivity past the quad port i/f's....

hehehe, so basically you upgraded to r65 with kernel 2.6? if that is true, then this is a really sad day in my life (because i just went from ng55 to ngx 62)...

but thanks for the info...
