| I have a few questions about SPLAT NGx R65, NOT PRO: 1- I see the /etc/zebra directory and that I can configure my SPLAT firewall to run BGP and OSPF with a Cisco router. I do NOT have a SPLAT PRO license, just a regular SPLAT license. 2- My cisco routers can communicate with the SPLAT firewall just fine with both OSPF and BGP routing protocols with the configuration I have in the /etc/zebra directory, Since I can do routing on the SPLAT firewall without SPLAT PRO license, why do I need to purchase SPLAT PRO license, assuming I do not have a need for RADIUS authentication? Thanks. |

| hello, You ask a very relevant question; RADIUS authentication on linux boxes is standard and GPL'd (or other open-source) code, as is quagga/zebra (splat pro is proprietary gated, before that they intergated zebra). But it's how checkpoint makes money, don't ask for any other logic than financial. The world runs better with financial logic, don't you agree? :( or ;) regards Etienne |
