Default Automated\graceful shutdown when power is lost?

Running SPLAT R65 HFA03.
What can you use to perform a graceful shutdown once the battery runs out of juice on your ups? We're using an APC UPS.

Sorry I've should have been a little more clear on what I'm asking.

Your not on site and the UPS battery has 10 minutes of life before it's drained. If after x number of minutes if the power is not restored and your running on the battery then initiate a graceful shutdown routine. When power is restored initiate a start up.

APC provides a utility app to do this for Windows. Power Witness provides a similar utility for Pick aka Tiger Logic.

So I'm asking what are other forum members using for this task?

And, thanks for the command.

Power off: shutdown -h 10 (or other number.)

Power on: shutdown -a
