Default Port 2000/tcp open on cluster

Hello,

does anybody know, what Port 2000/tcp could be opened for on a SecurePlatform Checkpoint R65 HFA2 CLusterXL cluster. The cluster is used for SecureClient connections. Port 2000 connections are "hijacked" by the cluster, meaning a telnet 1.2.3.4 2000 gets a connection for seconds and then closes. But I have colleagues using IBM RSA II control connections for remote configuration access and this "hijacking" is really disgusting. :(

Thanks, Celia

I don't have the port open on my cluster object. Nor have I seen my cluster intercepting that port.

I'd imagine that 1.2.3.4 is the IBM system & not the gateway correct? Perhaps SmartDefense is closing the connection? I'd look at the logs as they should give you more information.
